Welcome to Gravity, the UK’s first smart campus, home to the Agratas gigafactory development.
Together with Agratas, we are accelerating the UK’s shift towards a zero-carbon economy, placing Somerset at the centre of the clean growth revolution and benefitting local villages, the county and wider region.
Through the creation of up to 7,500 new jobs, we want to secure a legacy of opportunities for people who wish to live and work locally and enjoy the unique Somerset countryside.

This award winning piece of infrastructure connects Gravity to the A39 and to the wider UK motorway network via Junction 23 of the M5.
The link road named ‘Enterprise Way’ opened to the public in October 2021 with landscaping currently being monitored.
This is a key step in establishing Gravity as a viable commercial destination attractive to international investment and large-scale operators. Read about Enterprise Way's sustainability credentials in Stantec’s case study for The Climate Resilient Infrastructure Report.

Gravity are working with Agratas to deliver this work as soon as possible.
- Traffic Calming - we want to avoid unnecessary disruption arising from road works in the area, so have delayed implementing traffic calming measures until after the planned Woolavington Road closure has finished (closed from April 14th for up to five months). We are now exploring opportunities with contractors to undertake traffic calming measures as soon as possible.
- Footpath/Cycleway – we need to put certain services/utilities (eg gas) underneath the footpath/cycleway. We are coordinating this work with utility providers. We are unable to give a specific date for these works because of third party involvement, but we are striving to deliver this work as soon as possible.
