Gravity invites the local communities to join us in discovering the rich heritage of the Royal Ordnance Factory.

To remember ROF Bridgwater, Sedgemoor District Council (SDC) and the South West Heritage Trust (SWHT) are inviting you to share your memories to ensure the legacy lives on.

The South West Heritage Trust is looking to create a living historical record of what life was like working in an industry that played a vital part in the manufacturing of defence materials during the Second World War. The project aims to gather as much information as possible to create a historical record of what life was like for those who lived and worked in this important local industry. ’ They are actively looking for photos and other memorabilia.

At the session you can find out how to be part of this project. You will also hear from Gravity, the new owners of the site and their plans to once again make the former ROF Bridgwater area an integral part of the community.

37 club – 8th August

Gravity and our appointed contractors, Alun Griffiths, hosted a local drop-in session. We were thrilled with the reception we received. Our representative on the ground, Paul Lowndes was answering queries about the access road.

There will be regular drop in sessions as the road progresses, so please watch this space.
