Stantec on behalf of This is Gravity and Agratas are coordinating the installation of five air quality sensors. Specifically, three sensors will be installed in Puriton and two in Woolavington. This programme forms part of the approved Local Development Order for the Gravity site.
The monitoring will take place for a number of years as the Gravity development is built out and occupied however, there are no air quality related issues expected to arise from the development.
The air quality sensors will be mounted to existing street lighting columns with two of them being accompanied by a wind speed and direction sensor. The sensors are being mounted to the street-lighting columns by Stantec and the electrical work on the street-lighting columns will be being completed by Volkers who are Somerset Councils lighting contractor.
